How ITB course is helping me prepare for a career in IT?
In the semester B of Year 1, there are three courses to study, Current Technology (119COM), Introduction to Computing (121COM) and Business Decision Making (126COM). ITB course is as its name, which is related to 'Bussiness', 'Information' and 'Techology'. This course combines knowledge and skills in both business aspect and information technology aspect. In other words, ITB course provides a full range of workplace technology skills and business management skills that provide me confidence to my career life in the future.

Overall
In the 119COM, I learn many things about the current technology. For example: how E-commerce works, New Product Development Life Cycle and some HTML&CSS skills to write and design websites. These skills are required in today's job market and it is useful to promote the company in the future.
In 121COM, there are many things learnt from this course. For example: programming language, program debugging and command prompt skills. It is believed that all these knowledge will be useful in the future IT career if it is asked to develop a software.

In 126COM, I learned many things. For example: how to analyze the three financial statement, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. These skills not only help me to have a short-term business decision in the future job but also help me clear about how a company works. It is believed that these can help me in my future.
How do I developing as a professional within IT?
The course contains professional business management knowledge and Information Technology knowledge. I will make good use of the knowledge I have learned in ITB Course to analysis in depth how information technology can help achieving the greatest business benefits for the company. My goal is to become a professional IT man.
Career Choice in the today’s job market
For my future career, I would like to become a professional programmer if I can. It was my dream job before. the skills required mainly similar to the knowledge that I learnt from the ITB course and will learn.
How I will prepare myself in the next two
or three years to gain that position?
As I know, graduates have a wide range of career choices, such as managing projects, designing software or websites, supporting computer technology, and even IT consultants.However, job competition is very large nowadays. In order to gain the position that I want, I need to enhance myself. I will further education on not just information technology but also business. Moreover, I will fight for higher GPA in all the semesters. I believed that higher GPA shows the higher competitive advantage compared with other graduates. I believe that as long as I can master the knowledge of these two major of Information Technology and Business in the next two or three years. As a result, I can greatly increase my competitiveness and gain the position I want in the future easier.
